Middle Path

Dear Editors,

Could someone please clarify the following situation for me:

If His Holiness the Dalai Lama relinquishes all political authority, but if He continues, from a religious point of view, to maintain His MIDDLE PATH philosophy, doesn't that have a political affect on what we should do as far as the future of Tibet is concerned? After all, MIDDLE PATH is autonomy, instead of independence.

Just curious.
