Tashi Delek Supporters and fellow Tibetans in North America:
Tashi Delek members of the Tibetan community throughout North America. I am profoundly honoured to be elected as your parliamentarian representative. As your trusted Chitue I graciously accept this role to be one of privilege; as such, I commit to work hard to serve my constituents.
The Chitue electoral process proved to be a one-of-a-kind experience for me. As I took the campaign very seriously I made a point of travelling across the continent to meet numerous Tibetan communities. By doing so I was able to re-connect with many old acquaintances and create new friendships as well. In addition, I was able to understand the issues that are important to you. Thank you all for welcoming me into your homes and your hearts.
I would also like to extend my heartiest 'Thuk-Je-Chey' to all the members of my headquarters campaign team. Your continued support and dedication are unparalleled. Also, I would like to acknowledge the assistance and commitment of my virtual campaign team .
Thank you to all the volunteers and donors alike. Your support was tremendous.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Tashi Namgyalla, Kunga Thinleyla and Tashi Phuntsokla for sharing the platform with me during this campaign. The Tibetan diaspora has become stronger and more engaged as a result of your involvement in the community. I look forward to working with you during my tenure.
Dicki Chhoyangla and I have met on several occasions now to discuss our future as NA Chitues. As we plan our goals and objectives we will share with your our platform and action plan to meet our constituents across the continent. Therefore, your active involvement will contribute to our overall success.
Thank you to the Canadian Tibetan Association of Ontario and my campaign team for organizing the 'Meet and Greet Your NA Chitues' event that took place on Saturday May 14, 2011. It was well organized and I am grateful for the opportunity it afforded me to personally thank my supporters.
As I embark on this journey as your North America Chitue I hope and pray for the continued health and long life of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
Bod Gyalo,
Norbu Tsering
